The Antera Luxury Home Elevator

The Southeast’s most design-forward home elevator, installed in-house since 1997 by American Elevator’s own state-licensed technicians.

A Home Elevator as Intentional as the Rest of Your Home

The Antera doesn’t feel like an elevator. It feels like a room you move through: quiet, refined, and finished to the same standard as the rest of your home. No mechanical noise, no machine room eating into your floor plan. A 15.6-inch touchscreen controls lighting, airflow, and floor selection without a button in sight. Add the optional BOSE speaker system, and your music travels between floors with you. The interior, finished in wood grain, illuminated panels, and stainless, looks nothing like a standard elevator cab.

American Elevator installs the Antera for homeowners, builders, and architects across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Every installation is handled by our own employed, state-licensed technicians with no subcontractors and no handoffs, serving the Southeast since 1997. Visit our showrooms in Suwanee, GA or Seneca, SC to experience it in person. As part of the Cibes Lift Group, we install direct from the manufacturer.

Interior Finishes, Fitted To Your Taste

The Antera’s interior is designed from the start, not assembled from generic options afterward. Six profile colors pair with five natural wood grain finishes across the Terrace Flow and Ripple Trace collections, letting the cab reflect your home’s material palette rather than interrupt it. Softly illuminated edge lighting across 13 pattern styles sets the mood on your terms. Forbo flooring, satin stainless handrails, mirrored ceiling options with integrated lighting, and coordinated frame finishes bring the whole cab together as a designed space, not a utility box.

The Antera sits at the top of American Elevator’s luxury home elevator lineup, alongside the Symmetry Dream and Cibes Air. What separates it is flexibility: the same finished cab drops into a traditional shaft or a modular enclosure, adapting to your home rather than the other way around.

Two Installation Methods, One Team

Existing Site-Built Hoistway

Suited to retrofits, modernizations, and architect-drawn shafts in masonry, concrete, or framed construction, from established Atlanta homes to Lowcountry properties on the coast.

Factory-Supplied Modular Enclosure

Built for new construction and open-plan designs, delivered as an engineered enclosure that simplifies structural coordination on custom builds across the Southeast.

The ride, the finishes, and the smart controls are the same on either path. What changes is how the Antera meets the structure, and American Elevator settles that during planning, providing full hoistway documentation up front so nothing is reworked later.

The Southeast’s luxury homes range from established estates around Atlanta to new coastal builds across the Carolinas, and no two structures present the same conditions. The Antera’s two installation strategies cover that range: a site-built hoistway where a shaft already exists or an architect is drawing one, or a modular enclosure where a new build calls for simple structural coordination and a glass-forward look.

Here’s How We Support the Architecture and Design Process

The Antera specifies well on luxury residential projects because it’s built to hold up to the same scrutiny as the rest of the home. Machine-room-less engineering keeps the footprint clean, the dual installation path serves the structural reality of each project, and the interior selections are material-forward enough to satisfy a discerning client.

Every installation is handled by American Elevator’s own employed technicians, so the team that reviews your drawings is the team on site. From the first project meeting, we confirm the installation method against the design intent, deliver hoistway dimensions and full technical documentation during planning, and coordinate the elevator scope against your construction schedule.

Trusted Across the Southeast Since 1997

American Elevator has completed more than 8,000 installations across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, all through our own employed, state-licensed technicians. That track record means the team bringing your Antera to life has seen every structural condition, code requirement, and custom design challenge the region presents.

The material combinations, lighting profiles, and finish selections for the Antera read differently in person than they do on a specification sheet. At our showroom, American Elevator walks you through finish samples and full product documentation, with other Cibes Symmetry models available to compare before you decide.

The same technicians who meet you at the start of the project handle the installation and remain your service provider after commissioning. There’s no handoff to a third-party crew, and that continuity matters when the elevator becomes a permanent part of your home.

American Elevator services every Antera we install. After commissioning, our technicians remain your point of contact for routine maintenance, repairs, and long-term performance, for the full life of the system.

What Southeast Homeowners Ask About the Antera

A traditional residential elevator is chosen to fit a space. The Antera is chosen to fit a design. It runs on a permanent magnet synchronous motor for quiet operation with no machine room, adds a 15.6″ touchscreen for lighting, ventilation, and floor settings, and offers wood grain finishes, lighting patterns, and Forbo flooring a traditional home elevator does not. For a high-end build or renovation in Georgia or the Carolinas, it is specified as part of the design rather than fitted in afterward.

The Antera is one of several luxury elevator models American Elevator installs, and the right choice depends on the project. The Ascenda is a shaftless system for two-story homes with no pit, shaft, or machine room. The Cibes Air is a pneumatic vacuum elevator with a cylindrical glass cab. The Symmetry Dream is a traditional luxury elevator. The Antera is the full architectural platform: up to six stops, a traditional hoistway or modular enclosure, and the deepest interior finish program of the group. If you are choosing between them, we walk through the options against your floor plan and design goals during a consultation.

The Antera’s interior draws from six profile colors: Gothic Graphite Black, Glacial Slate Grey, Organic Signal White, Oriental Pale Brown, Oriental Oyster White, and Oriental Grey Beige. These pair with five natural wood grain finishes across the Terrace Flow collection (Dark and Light) and the Ripple Trace collection (Dark, Light, and White). The feature wall carries softly illuminated edge lighting with 13 selectable pattern styles. Satin stainless handrails, a mirrored ceiling with integrated lighting, illuminated acrylic design panels, and coordinated frame finishes complete the material palette. Premium Forbo flooring is available in seven colorways. An integrated luxury speaker system comes standard.

The 15.6-inch smart panel comes standard on every Antera and covers more than floor selection. Lighting, ventilation, and floor naming are all adjustable from the panel, and floors can be labeled the way your household actually refers to them rather than by number. A status display keeps you informed, an integrated security lock controls access, and audible alerts sound during travel. Music connects through the intergrated speaker system, which comes standard..

It depends on the path. On new construction, the Antera is scheduled into your builder’s timeline and usually lands in the finishing phase, so it moves with the project. Retrofits and site-built hoistways take longer because of the structural work, and in older Southeast homes that can mean working around conditions the original build never anticipated. American Elevator sets a clear timeline during planning and gives your builder or architect the hoistway dimensions and documentation early.

Yes. American Elevator walks homeowners and their design teams through finish samples and full product documentation before any selection is locked in, and you can compare other Cibes Symmetry models at our Suwanee showroom. Reach out and we’ll set up the right way to review options for your project.

Every safety system on the Antera is built in, not added on. Doors sense obstructions before closing, travel starts and stops smoothly, and the system monitors itself continuously. Battery-powered emergency lowering brings the cab to a floor if power is interrupted, with a manual lowering crank as mechanical backup. An integrated alarm and communication system keeps help within reach at all times. The Antera meets ASME A17.1 residential code, and permitting and inspection across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina are handled as part of every installation.
